Life with our baby!

Getting a bit of quality time with dad! Bit knackered from a big day out!

Would seem that dad has the magic touch!

Pictures from Justin's phone.

Teaching our cows baaaaaad habits!

Found some sleeping ferals.

Very tired!

Chief being chief!

Mothers Day!!

For mother's day I got to have a day of working with my horses which was a nice change from being a housewife. They were actually all pretty well behaved despite not being worked for 2 years now (with injuries and pregnancy). Sheree and I went and mustered some heifers and we made it home just in time for bub to have dinner and bed. I was a little bit sore the next day, but not as bad as I thought I would be, mostly in my arms because one of my young ones had forgotten what it was like to have a tarp tied to their tail (they didn't like it).

Garrett came down in the morning to sleep while I worked the horses, I wish winter would hurry up, it's not much fun for him to sleep in this heat outside at the moment.

Honda thought it was a nice bed for him too! Jackass it is!

Nice to wake up to this beautiful boy in the mornings.

Friendly dragonfly, not a bad shot for a phone camera.

Just about got this head control thing sorted.

Meeting the ponies!

These little turds, destroyed my hibiscus (amongst other things), but it wasn't until the following day when they destroyed Justin's lawn, that they finally got bushed!

Marianne meeting Garrett for the first time.

Brahman Congress Dinner!!

I was lucky enough to have mum for a babysitter for a night and plenty of expressed milk that I had been saving, so I was able to have a night out on the town with some mates. At the dinner they announced the winners of the carcass competition and our lovely Jamie, took out first place for her steer! We were all so pleased for her and it give us a good reason to celebrate. Needless to say, I was a bit out of shape and had a sore head the next day. It was a lovely night though and great to catch up with everyone.

Jamie with her steer!
Congratulations Jamie, what a proud moment, not too long ago you were just a little makeup artist and now look at you! What a champion!
I think we may have been the loudest table there but everyone knew where the winner was!

Was nice to wear something that didn't have to have access for breastfeeding!

Beautiful Brook.

Classy Kristle.

Ever Elegant Erin.

Juicy Jamie.

The big fella scrubbed up pretty good to I must say!

Lighting was a bit lousy for photos though!

Giving the big fella a scratch!

It's hard to see in the photos, but the pavilion we were in was absolutely gorgeous and a lot of work had gone into decorating and setting all the tables. The band was fantastic and so was the food, something that I highly recommend. Good job to all the sponsors, organisers and exhibitors at the event.

Back home and baking!

With Dick visiting from down south, I have someone to cook for. Not that my husband doesn't appreciate it, but with both of our waistlines expanding I try to be a bit healthier.

Sweet potatoe cake!

Cornflake cookies.

Quiche

And of course Jam Drops for jam drop (not that he can eat them yet).

Not long though.

Was a spectacular sunset and a shame I missed it, but a lovely way to end a great month.
