Eyes

So despite my optimism from my last post, it seemed that I was not on the upper, but rather in for the long haul. It's now been 4 weeks and I think I may be able to to sheepishly say that I'm feeling a bit better. After 4 courses of antibiotics, blood tests and nasal swabs (not fun), we still aren't really none the wiser as to what was wrong with me. Blood results said Adenovirus and Whooping Cough, but nasal swab was negative. So it's a bit of a mystery.

Anyhow, we are having some lovely rain today and as I'm still probably not 100% I thought I would see what photos I've managed to capture over the last few weeks of feeling sorry for myself! My darling son's eyes always mesmerise me, as I'm sure all mothers are. My mother used to get called 'eyes' by her father (or grandfather, I can't remember) and I she's obviously passed it on.

Playing with my new lens and capturing these little cuties.

Dad teaching how to make cool noises with rocks.

Above you can see how the rain has been very kind to us and our silk sorghum is well on it's way! The self sewn wincassia is also going mental after it greatly enjoyed the ploughing, fertiliser and rain! And below you can the the humidicola is starting to shoot! YAY, things are looking good on the farming front, at least something has been progressing while I've been hauled up on the couch! My dear darling has also managed to brand a number of our calves too, which I will have to go and visit to see how they are recovering.

Dad time.

Someone also got their first fat lip! First of many to come I should think!

How's March shaping up for you? Our schedule seems to be filling up quickly, although I'm pretty bummed about missing CMC rocks this weekend! I decided that I didn't need any more exposure to flu germs till I was over this one! What are your plans? Much rain?
