2020 Begins!

As we walk hand-in-hand out of 2019 and brace ourselves for 2020, let's hope that this year brings us all good fortune.

I got a new toy for xmas, so I will be doing a bit of experimenting with my little lens ball. It's a lot of fun!

With no rain and only a prediction of some in sight and our dams going to run dry by the end of the week... the project of putting in 2km of new pipeline became quite urgent. I'm please to say that as we were laying the last part of the line we got completely soaked with rain with 15mm and then a further 37mm today to follow it up. Fingers crossed that the prediction of a bit more are accurate.

Got myself a flat tyre when I was racing across the flat to capture this photo before the sun disappeared! Luckily we always keep an air compressor and and few plugs in the buggy to get us by.

I never actually liked the broken branch hanging from this tree because I thought it would not make for a good photo. But it seems to actually improve this one.

Love taking photos of storms.

When we ran out of water one particular day, I had to ride a section of the line that can't be accessed by buggy on my horse. As you can see it's bloody dry! I've never seen it this dry and dad said he's never seen it worse.

old cement trough made from 44 drum moulds.

I was lucky enough to have the company of some close friends after new year and it was a lovely few days. I appreciate that I have friends who are comfortable enough to invite themselves here without feeling as though they are imposing.

We kept the kids entertained with lots of fishing, swimming and a bit of playing in the mud!

Poor little Brookie

Even the mummys got a bit muddy

Miss Kaka got a late xmas present in the form of a new pony! She's a little ripper and I'm so glad that I found her.

With 5 adults and 8 kids, we managed to put away a bit of food.

Oh and there was some motorbike riding.

Coffee in the kitchen while we sent the kids out to entertain themselves.

Gotta love the mud!

First Beer but not the last!

I'm certain that 2020 is going to be full of a lot of fun and exciting new things for us!
Hope you all have had a great start to the year!
