Marlborough Show Ball 2019

The only pic that I got with my hair intact before the humidity wrecked havoc

Another year has rolled around since our last show ball and now I have found myself in the secretaries position. *sigh* It's not such a bad job and everyone is very helpful. Sometimes it's pretty full on but the ball was mainly orchestrated by the hall committee, so there wasn't a lot I had to do.

Nearly had a conniption when our band pulled out on the Friday afternoon before, but I managed to find replacement, thankfully. And the replacement band, "2 Ezy" was absolutely fantastic and I would rate them.

It's so nice to have a little princess that I can dress up! She's so darn cute! I'm glad she's finally walking so I can keep her reasonably clean.

One day we will get a nice family photo!

My little man looked awfully handsome too I thought.

This girl just claims anyone for a cuddle. This was a bit cute!

Grandma made the trip up for a ball with cousins Hayley and Jack, but I think it was a bit full on with four grandkids pulling her all over the place.

My darling husband took on the bar duties, and became the designated driver.

Kaka claimed Mrs Lindley and Mr Lindley thought she might like a beer (he has no idea!)

Me and Olivia who agreed to be our rural ambassador at the last minute.

Hayley and Jack... Jack was not impressed about his photo being taken.

My weird child that kept laying on the floor.

Hayley Thompson, Myself and Kristie Lisle (nearly half way through her 2nd pregnancy).

Mum and I and the 4 grandbabies. Gman was putting his head on the side like the camera.... clown lol

Kaka went missing.......... this is where we found her...... sitting up in the bar, on the esky, kicking her legs and eating pizza!!! Talk about a card!

Keeping and eye on dad.

Looks just like her granny here!

Studly bar tenders.

Justin and Josh Patch

Me and Mr President (Lou Geddes)

Rachel Rule (our matron), Lee Colins (buck), Chloe Atkinson (belle), Shannon Hopkins (show girl), Olivia Lindley (rural ambassador), Tayla Chapman (princess) and Whyatt Caton (prince).
The weekend prior to the ball, Justin was away for a bucks party, so I went for a day trip to the neighbours to head out to the beach. To our great excitement there was a huge sea turtle.

He was pretty cool and we saw a heap of them in a little channel afterwards. Can't believe how fast they can go in the water, when you see them they always look so slow, but they can really hook along.

These pair love getting out to the beach. If only their mother was more of a beach person.

Catching some bait

Aunty Bonnie is a bit of a hit!

The girls found loads of these sea urchin shells on the beach, so they made a mushroom/ urchin garden.

Love Lucy's face.

Such an awesome group of girls.

I love this photo. I never get to have my girl sleep on me. She was so tuckered, she didn't even manage to eat the brownie that she was given before we left the beach, before she fell asleep. She was covered in sand and had only one boot on and you can see G man passed out in the background...... you can't buy that sort of warm and fuzzy!

I went for a fly down to Brisbane and this was the view out the window! OMG, I'm sorry but the photo just doesn't do it justice. It was really awesome!

Will I was away G-man caught this shovel-nosed ray. I think he was a bit pleased with his efforts.

I think she was a bit buggered to be sleeping like this.

Steals my heart!

Well that's it from me. I have a hectic schedule for the next week, between cleaning, play group, show stuff and the incredibly exciting wedding of one of my best mates!!! It's going to be a cracker.

I'll leave you with this one that I've just found Thomas Rhett Playing with Fire
