Time Flies

Wow, where did that past month go? Honestly, thank goodness for my phone or I would have no recollection of my whereabouts for the last 4 weeks.

As I mentioned in my last post, we climbed Mt Jim Crow and here are a few of the pictures I took along the way. Was a really lovely morning, even if it was pretty fresh! Well worth the effort of getting up early and picking our way up the mountain in the dark.

I would have loved to have my zoom lens so that I could have got a better pic of this one up closer.

Phone Photos:

My little cherub

I managed to take my noble steed for a couple of rides this month, which was very nice and I'm pleased with how he's going despite the lack of work. He's very keen, I just wish I had some more work for him.

Mud Monkey

That's it mate, check em out, make sure they're the right size!

Brotherly love.

Ok, so there is a bit of a storey with these two photos. In the photo above, this kangaroo had somehow hit our house yard fence and managed to kill himself. So Justin thought he was hilarious (and I had a good giggle too) when he took this photo.

And in the photo below.
I came home from town after a very long and tiring day and..... when I went to open the gate, I had forgotten to put the handbrake on. Now I must say, considering my fatigued state, I did pretty good to make the split-second decision to sacrifice the gate, in order to stop the car. My other option was to swing the gate and let the car go increasingly faster and probably crash into the house, or even run me over while I tried to climb in and stop it. So with the two kids still strapped in the car, I was relieved that the gate stopped them and luckily did no damage to the car. The gate however, did not fare so well. And again, Justin thought he was particularly funny with this snap!

We have also been to a wedding. A close friend of mine growing up, William McCartney, married his partner Brook. It was a beautiful wedding, aren't they all, and we had a really lovely even with some great people.

Me and my man!

Brooke with her brother. She was so darn beautiful!

And another year ticked over for me. It was not the best day for me as I was awakened at 2:30 with my poor boy, having a vomiting bug. So two complete bed changes later and my day didn't get much better from there. Ka Ka also got crook and then Justin. So I decided the following day to have a do-over birthday, which started well but finished with me catching the vomiting bug! So we might just give this year a miss I think. I was very spoilt with a couple of nice drill sets though and a lovely card from my darling husband.

The vomiting bug really rolled us all for a few days, but eventually we got back on our feet. I think it must have been going around town because I heard a few people who've had it.

Gman driving!

Kaka just loves being on this little pony!

Doing the lick run with the kids.

Few snippets.

Nanna came to babysit for us, so that Justin and I could get some cattle work done. It was nice to get out of the house for a couple of days and get back into some cattle work. I'm sorry to say though, that even after 10 days, the vomiting virus must have still been in our house because Nanna left this morning after catching it..... we'll never get her back again 😭😭😭

Yep that's a 308 shell..... yes it's empty.... does that make it better??
Well lovely people. I have no word of wisdom for you this evening, I have been flat out all day trying to get the house tidy for guests to come this week and we are off to town for groceries tomorrow.

Clare Bowen has finally released an album. She is such a brilliant vocalist and this is one that I've found so far that I like "Let it Rain"
