Show Success!

I have no idea why this program decides sometimes to load my images in reverse order and sometimes it doesn't!! ANYHOW!! This particular occasion we are going backwards in time so bare with me! Also, should there be any weird typos, you can put that down to Hazel who is currently going spastic and jumping all over my keyboard and racing in circles on the floor!

School holidays has been choc-a-block with fun-filled adventures and tonnes of kids to catch up with. We have just returned home this afternoon. Last night we stay with Mango and Greer and the kids got to have a proper little sleep over together with Brooklyn and Thomas which was a bit cute!

The night before that we stayed with Mitch and Kirsty and their kids Annabelle and Charlie. Above is her horse! Isn't he a giant!! Justin thought he was being so funny taking a photo beside him, considering that he was taller than me!

This beautiful sunrise the other morning. I was stuck because I knew I didn't have time to race and get my SLR camera and my phone definitely didn't really do it justice! Need to get my A into G and charge up Dick's drone!

We began our school holidays going down to Brisbane for our overdue trip to visit aunty Jess and Uncle Nash at their lovely new block. I saw this cute little tea set at the markets and I had to get it for Evy. I think she loved it. She's so damn squishy!

Some days I wonder if she's my child, or Justin's and some days I'm convinced she's his! Love her quirky sense of humor!

My other cousin Sam, brought her crew over for the night and it was so great for all the cousins to have a big play! So nostalgic!

Adorable! So funny when they are little trying to work out who they are more like, mum or dad... sometimes she's definitely her mother's daughter though.

Kaka learning her photography skills, she's pretty good at it!

The last week of school, we had clusters, where we go to someone's place and the teachers come out and do stuff with the kids. While I neglected to get any photos, we had a lovely time at the Murdocks house and feel very blessed to have wonderful friends.

I also had my 20yr school reunion! I'm not sure where on earth that time went! Such a lovely bunch of girls, was a shame that more couldn't make it there.

I kinda looked like I was going to the funeral of my rich husband whom I poisoned.

Was good to have some girl time with mum and I can tell I'm getting old because we were home in bed with toasted sandwhiches and hot chocolate well before 9.

J captured this cool fogbow the other morning.

Miss fell in the bucket... she wasn't impressed at my laughter.

Athletics Carnival. I'm not sure how the kids went because our school doesn't give ribbon to the young ones, which I feel is a bit ridiculous but anyhow!

I mentioned in my last blog that Dartanian and I were off to the Springsure show for the brumby challenge. With Justin busy mustering weaners for the sale, I was camping out with my two gremlins and I was so lucky to have my extended family to be able to babysit for me while I was away riding my horse.

All the show cattle team including the Geddes, Schuhs and Lambs took my pair under their wing and the kids did some cattle judging while I was doing the brumby challenge which I was a little disappointed that I missed because Kaka got a 2nd and a 4th and G man got a 3rd! I was so proud of them, they had never done that before.

All the kids from those families.

G man being coached by Libby and Johanna.

Kaka being coached by Johanna. So damn cute!!

After the Springsure show, we went to Emerald show grounds to camp with the team, and after a bit of drama, with my keys being misplaced down a drain in the Woolworths carpark by my darling child, we had a day to kill before the athletics carnival. So we went for a day out to Rubyvale and the kids founds themselves some sapphires. Which I think they thoroughly enjoyed.

Oh yeh, and me little mate won me a buckle and a red ribbon! I was so damn proud of how far he has come. We didn't really do our best performance, but he was so tired by the end of the day and he still did so well. Everyone was so amazing and it was such a cool thing to be apart of. All the freestyle demonstrations were so awesome and so diverse. Everyone had done such a great job with their little ponies.

Obstacle course. I think the brumbies were a bit the underdog category at the show, but it definitely got some spectators there and all of the working horse challengers were watching the brumbies, not their own event, so I thought that was cool!

The Friday night before the challenge there was the usual fireworks. Anyhow, straight after, I looked across the ring and was like "ah, I don't think that fire is suppose to be there".

So I marched the kids as quickly as we could walk across the grounds to get to where the fire was. By the time I got there, 4 people had half of it out. I grabbed a branch and helped to put the last of it out with them. We had a laugh because there was a heap of firemen at the "tractor pull" event that had been prior to the fireworks but none of them were anywhere to be seen. I imagine they had gone for their truck.
As I was walking back to the kids that I had left by the fence, a guy walked up and said "I thought my house was gonna burn down!" "
"For a minute there mate, so did I!"

We got to practise on the obstacle course, the day before the show. I was set up when next minute, I look over to see that my two gremlins were.... well... they were having a great deal of fun!

Lucky I love them!

Tarp training prior to the show! He got a bit tangled up and in a fright he headed out across the yard! Poor Bobby, thought death was coming for him!

Cooler weather calls for jam drops!

Wow! Can't believe that's June gone! We are already in July! Which reminds me I need to do my BAS!

Here's a handful from my SLR, but I haven't been out with it much.

Smoke and Fire was the theme for my photo club, so I had a bit of a play. I loved the above image. I called it "conjuring horses".

I also had a bit of a play with water droplets which was fun too! I've actually joined a second photo club and they joined me up with a mentor which I'm finding really awesome and she's giving me some invaluable feedback.

I love these sun rays. It's a difficult composition, because to get the light rays like that, everything else tends to be really dark. But I always find it so beautiful.

Kaka, my budding photographer.

I liked this above one, with the little 'gate' in the distance. I can almost see fairies playing.

Kids could have played in this little creek for hours I think. I was freezing bloody cold though!

The most beautiful human in the world!

Cousins!!

I loved the water reflections in this one.

Evy

That's a wrap! I put this one together pretty quickly as I have another project that I've started.

Yep! Call me crazy but I did it again. I just loved being a part of the journey. We all have this head nod between all the brumby team now and share the shirt and I think that's pretty cool! And of course the big dream it to take the brumbies and beat some big name horse lol.

Anyhow trendsetters, I better get to bed. Might get a day of training in before the rain gets here. I can hardly believe we have already had a whole week of school holidays. Goes way too fast.

Hope you are all well and have your woolies on with this cooler weather.
With Love.
