The Promised Land

Our poor little babies (a.k.a: weaners), have been a bit famished of late. So this week we mustered them up, drenched them, and on the weekend, we trucked them to their new home.

Their paddock on mustering day.

The journey to the promised land.

Despite my horse's reluctance to venture too near the bike, it was a lovely day out with the folks.
They may have felt as though they died and went to heaven at this point.
 Arrival at the promised land.
They are a bit tucked up here after the long walk out and truck journey, but stay tuned, I'm looking forward to seeing their improvement over the coming months.

The troop carrier.

Just another Sunday afternoon.

Dunno what this little dude is, but he's cool.

"The Rabbit"

Yes hughie, that's the right stuff and location, just got to work on the quantity and quality.

Tiresome work!

Cheeky bugger.

Bloomin pody!

Horse tails in the sky, rain in seven days! We shall see... the skys are well watched at this time of year!

I call this masterpiece "waitin' on Walley", I got bored waiting for my husband to bring in the steers.

Also this week, we cut and barked a few posts for our new fence line.

Doesn't look like many, but it was hard going getting some of the bark off, it was a bit sticky..... still have blisters.

Seem to be a lot of swans hanging around this year.

Bob!

My first mango of the season,  I think the wind will get rid of the rest,  between that and the resident birds but I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Some air-fried goodies, to convince those friends of mine that don't yet have one, that they must get one!
Crunchy bacon, frozen to crunchy in 12mins.

Healthier frozen chips, 12 mins from frozen.

This was not from the air fryer, but I'm just showing off that I had piklets with whipped cream!!! YUMMO

Aaah, what a week ey.

3 Little Birdies Sitting In A Tree....

Three black cockatoos were spotted, three days later, we had 3 ml. So there must be something to the prophecies.

Out doing some spot spraying on the fence lines and found this plant, I don't know what it is, but I didn't like the look of it, so I killed it. Justin calls me the angel of plant death.

Found this poor old girl, stuck in the mud, in a dam that isn't normally an issue for us, I pulled her out and fed her for a couple of days while she got her strength back. I would like to say there is a happy ending to this story, but her condition didn't improve and after trying everything, including using the bobcat and a sling to stand her up, all to no avail, she was put down. All part of the job unfortunately.

Chief just loves to swim, I think he may have been aiming for the swan, but the swan was not perturbed but his presence and just casually avoided him.

Not easy to do a selfy while driving. Splash decided she didn't want to be in the back and wanted cuddles.

Was filling in my diary, after missing a few day and I couldn't remember what I had done. So I looked back through my camera, this was the only photo I took on Tuesday, didn't help me much!!

Gotta love the effort this mammary superior cow in putting in this year.

Loving black and whites, of trees at the moment.

Justin bringing the stray bull back. Was hilarious. What the vehicle lacks in speed, it makes up for in stamina.

He finally submitted.

The wattle is housing these little fellas at the moment. I dunno what they are though.

Love these little things, they are so cute, but they never let me close enough.

Had to avoid swooping parents to run this little fella down for a photo. Sooo cute.

Spoilt babies.

Saturday night was the Marlborough Show break up party. Great night was had by all. I took the opportunity to set up my tripod and use my remote control to take some photos. Unfortunately at one point the button got stuck on, so I have 300 photos that pretty much tell a movie. Oh well. Couple of cheeky ones thought it would be funny to wiggle their bums at my camera. Very funny.

Bum wrigglers.

Our president.

Late night sausage.

Was such a lovely night but once again I am nursing my poor liver. Oh well, tiz almost the season.
