Moon Rise.

So I waited 8mths to get the moon behind this mountain like this but I must say I'm a bit disappointed with my photo. I think I need to rework it a little. Might have to wait for next year and try again.

Sunset in the smoke is always so pretty but this photo doesn't really do it justice.

I took these couple while I was waiting for the moon to rise.

Never ceases to amaze me what my camera can pick up. I couldn't see any light at all with my eyes.

Boy and his dog! So damn cute!

Breaking in a thoroughbred horse for a friend. She's a little gem but she's pretty tall!

I think I'm becoming a morning person!!! Shock Horror!!

So this video shows a few snippets from out and about. Dad got a bit excited when G man hooked and reeled his first barra all the way to the bank on his own.

It was delicious and yes for those of you who have picked up on it..... this was still in barra season as these photos are a couple of weeks old!

Can't get much fresher than that.... caught an hour earlier.

It's hard for me to explain to you the amount of silt that has formed here, this used to be a bank, that would drop down to a hole of water. But now it's almost level from one side to the other!!

Kaka and chief

I think we might have to get some chooks. Both kids were a bit enthralled.

Well readers, a bit short and sweet this week but I've been a bit busy. Replacing old wire in fences, building new gates. Taking the boss to town to have his tonsils removed and his nose/ airways opened (he's a bit wounded poor dear). Doing lick runs. Breaking in a horse. Taking care of podies.... yes plural. We collected another family member this weekend just gone. So now we have Poncho and Cointreau. Unfortunately he's a boy which means his lifespan with us won't be for very long. But anyhow. That's life.

Here's my latest "hit repeat" song... gotta love CAM, Half Broken Heart.

Hope you have all been under some rain. We got 40ml earlier in the month with 34ml the other day to follow it up which was lovely. Got the grass growing, and I don't want to be a winger, but I tell you it's drying off quick again. Fingers crossed for a bit more. (Always, always about the rain I know)
