Give me aaaaaalll the babies!!

Soooo, turns out that black headed pythons aren't really as placid as I thought they were. This little guy was a bit angry!

Some of our heifers and of course the 3 coloured ones would have to be in front!

I always find that Lillies are so gorgeous aren't they.

My little gypsy. Had to put them all in her hair.

Seems I have a couple of budding photographers. Maybe once they actually start to photograph something, they might get a camera. I'm still having to delete a million photos from my phone each time.

We have just got baby bird everywhere, every dam that you go to seems to be full of them. This is the first I've been out to take photos of them.

Not an accurate representation of my life at all!

And we've also had a lot of baby brolgas this year. I don't know that I've ever seen baby brolgas. I'm sure it's not just because of where I lived, I mean we always had a family of four where we were before but I never saw them with any babies.

Mum and dad were being a bit protective as I was driving around them with the buggy, trying to get the best shot of their bub.

Little fluff ball! I hope he lives!

And the swans have had their much awaited babies. These images are a few weeks old. They haven't grown much though.

These are from when they were only a couple of days old.

I'm not sure if this was the first time away from their nest, but I think dad was happy to be out and stretch his wings.

Aaaw

That's all the photo's I have with my good camera at the moment. With my photo auction coming up on the 21st of this month, I have been concentrating on getting that sorted. You can find it at www.32auctions.com/smoko

I have also been a bit tied up getting ready for the Marlborough Show but I just found out yesterday that it may be cancelled, as a number of our committee members don't meet the vaccination requirements, we will be unable to host it, which is such a shame and very frustrating.
Anyhow, it's a bit out of our hands.

From my phone:

Grandma came out last weekend for a visit which was so lovely. She has originally taken the week off for us because we were doing our RCS course, but once again, being unvaccinated, we had to postpone it until a later date. They are hopeful that they will have an unvaccinated course later on.
Was so lovely to be able spend the time together.

Grandma rides a horse like she never stopped and I'm glad that Carlos has reached a point where I'm confident to put people on him without any nonsense.

How gorgeous have the skies been of late, early mornings and late afternoon glows. Water in the stratosphere. But I don't think it will bring us much rain, it is a little bit miserable today though, but I think it will just be enough to keep my laundry damp.

School is back in and missy started kindy this year with G man as grade one.

Oh and there was a birthday!! Mr G man turned 6 and I think he was a bit impressed with his minecraft TNT cake. I didn't think I was going to pull it off the afternoon before when the icing was sliding down the side of the cake like a fat lady having a hot flush and all her make-up running. But we got there.

Someone is getting a lot more confident on their horse and I'm so grateful we got Bobby, he's perfect for her.

Smoko with my girl.

My dear friend Sheree came for a quick visit and we snuck off for a cuppa and a bit of grandma's slice that I keep hidden secret from everyone else.

Sheree only bought Bethany and left the boys at home, so we had a few excursions with just us girls which was lovely.

My girl wanted to hold my hand. I love that!

Smoko on the hill.

Mango for breakfast! (When will that darn fringe grow?)

Her little mate.

My happy place.

While the girls went off together J and G took the opportunity to take advantage of the tides and caught this monster. We were all convinced that she was the one that got away from Garrett last time. So it seemed like a good omen to finally catch her and they let her go. G man caught another little one and we all feasted on fresh fish which was beautiful!

She was 115cm.

Gosh she's a nice fish! Great work team!Almost thinking that we should have gone fishing.

Sheree was also here to try out a new horse, but as I had predicted, Yoda is a little bit too busy and always on a mission to get the job done for what she is looking for. I was pleased that she didn't tow the float all the way here just to find out that he wasn't suitable.

We are slowly getting the kids trained to take photos lol.

Oh and they also caught a few other fish, sharks and rays.

Oh my heart! These pair!

Walking home from feeding the pody.

As always, never seems to be long enough and then before we knew it we had to start school again. So that's been what's happening here the past few weeks. It has been really good to get the kids out on their horses a  bit more and they are building their confidence which is great. Now that they are riding on their own more, means that I will be able to take some of the greener horses that need work which is also a bonus.

Just in case you missed it, here is the link to my photo auction that will start next Monday. https://www.32auctions.com/smoko
I'm a bit excited. I'm not too sure how they will go but it's a bit exciting. There is also a viewing at the Great Western Hotel on the 27th but at this stage I think people need to be double vaccinated to see them.

Also I have this song "And when I die" by Blood Sweat and Tears which I'm a bit in love with at the moment and find that it always get stuck in my head.

Hope you are all staying safe and well and that the virus hasn't got to you yet.
Sending love to you all.
