I hear bells ringing.

With Xmas fast approaching, I've had myself fairly busy, with preparations, visitors and a sick boy, so I've not had much chance to get out with my camera. But after my last post, we had a couple of good showers of rain and here are some shots I captured.

The next two are off my phone, but I did some editing and I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Friends, feathers and fungi.

I always feel very fortunate where we live that there is so much to entertain people when they come to stay. My good friend Sheree and her two kids Zac and Bethany came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we had a ball travelling around in the buggy to visit cows and look at all our newly stick-raked country.

My other dear friend Sheree (above) also came to stay and we actually managed to get a photo of her which is rare!

Meeting our new addition.

Was a bit of competition to see who could nurse the baby.

This photo (above) makes me laugh because Sheree asked them to smile and they both did the same, fake "woman's making me smile".

Pirate is always so accomodating, especially for a biccy of hay. She was baby sitting on this day and had about 10 little calves with her.

Paddock dinner.

Two old birds.

We then spent a couple of days in town before they had to journey back to Springsure.

3am cuddles, make it all worthwhile.

I think this is what family photos are going to be like from now on, there will always be at least one pulling a face!

smiles are coming!!

We were so very spoilt, that our dozer driver Brenden, gifted this to us for our hospitality while he is staying here. Completely unnecessary, but very beautiful and much appreciated just the same. Made by Ron Fisher and you can find him on Facebook with this link.

My little plumber helping out.

My girl, with her 'pony'

Need to get my butt into gear and take some more 'newborn' photos of this girl! Not that she's so newborn anymore! She'll be 8 weeks tomorrow!! Where on earth did that go?!?

Yes, more breastfeeding, this is my sole purpose in life at the moment!

Someone moved into a big bed!

I had the pest control guy, come to spray our house, so we decided to get out for the day and travel to Marlborough to visit Jamie and her baby Elizabeth, to meet her for the first time. They had travelled up from Bundy so her hubby could do some work with their cattle so it was the prefect opportunity to catch up.

Elizabeth and Jessica

Jamie and her girl!

So I managed to get my SLR out take a few snaps, but as you might expect, most of them are of my baby girl!

I have a weird affinity for fungi and when these popped up in one of my pots, I had to take a snap. Something very ethereal about them I think.
Most years, between the birds, horses, flying foxes and the weather, we struggle to get a crop of mangoes. Surprisingly, this year, we have managed to get a few boxes off the tree before any of the wildlife even found them and I've not seen one cockatoo in the tree yet. Normally they can just totally devastate the whole crop in one day! But these little lorikeets are a bit cute and I don't feel so inhospitable towards them, when we have had our share of the mangoes.

My great aunt and uncle gifted this gorgeous little dress to Jessica and as she will probably have grown out of it in a week, I thought it would be just such a shame not to get some festive photos. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Good subject too though I guess!

Well folks, it's raining here at the moment! How glorious! We've had 35ml so far but I think perhaps it may be gone now! Just beautiful though! Justin has taken a load of cattle to the sale and with a few showers out and about, hopefully they will fetch a fair price.

Are you getting some of this lovely rain? I'm trying to read a book at the moment called outback legends, but I'm afraid it's very slow progress and perhaps I need to revert to audio books with my life as hectic as it is at the moment.

Here is a song that I'm in love with at the moment. Bit of a gee-up which helps with my afternoon walks, trying to get some extra cushioning off my backside! Sending some love and good weather to you all xx
