Stars by the Ocean.

I'd been neglecting my camera a little bit so I spent last night at Stanage Bay and managed to get a couple of nice shots. I'm glad that I thought to take a coat and some hot chocolate cause that sea breeze was a bit chilly for me!

I've decided that taking pano shots, that I need to have a small moon behind me so I can light up my foreground.

I absolutely love when the afternoon golden light reflects off these trees.

This photo is probably a closer representation to what goes on when I'm trying to get them to cooperate for photos.

We've spent a bit of time this past month going to bull sales. Ended up with 3 BBB bulls and one kraken bull. Very happy with all of them so I will be excited to see their progeny next year.

My brother Stew had to have an operation on his spine in Brisbane and as it was during the school holidays, grandma brought them out to visit us. So lovely for cousins to be able to spend some time together. I remember spending a lot of time with my cousins and it left me with some really great memories.

We had a campfire and damper by the creek. As well as a little swim.

Made some windmill/ flowers

"Fishing"

Everyone got to go for a ride. I think Emma and Jack really enjoyed it, as I don't think they had been before.

Mud got a bit slippery for Hayley and she slid down the bank.

Which I think was a good excuse for her to not have to stay clean.

They tried to catch a fish but without dad there to give them a hand we had no luck.

My little garden fairy.

Who also happened to turn 3 this month.

I decided that the cake was a bit too big for me to sit at home with the kids and as Justin had gone up the road to help with the mustering, I thought I would bring the cake to them.
Garrett, Lucy, Ella, Kaka

After cake we went to Stanage for a bit of a look around.

Was a gorgeous day, we could see lots of turtles.

Was kicking myself for forgetting my good camera.

That night, we had another round of cake.... how funny is this kid?

Still trying to stretch my knee out. Getting there very slowly.

When you don't have a gun you "Run him over mum"

I thought that I was extremely clever making this device to remove the pulleys from the shaft, right up until Justin came home and told me that, that wasn't going to work because the back one had to go towards the motor first. Was not a happy camper.

Nice to be getting a few rides in on my baby. He's a clever little dude, just needs a bit more work!

The neighbours gave us a little 100 that wasn't going and after sending it away to the workshop it came home working well! Great to be able to have something that I can run the horses in with the kids..... and as a friend pointed out to me, I can touch the ground (*insert middle finger here*)

Always good to have a fruit cake on hand for stray visitors and hungry kids.

I went to a cheese and sourdough making workshop this week. Was really good and I'm excited to say that I've made my first batch of feta. Just got to wait for it to cure now.

We were sent home with some dough to make our own sourdough at home and it turned out pretty good I thought.

I used the left over "whey" from the cheese making for my apricot chicken and my sausage stew. Worked really well, although the stew did boil over a little. I kinda forgot that it would still act a bit like milk.

My feta. Can't wait to test it.

Sausages, vegetables, miso paste and whey..... yummo!

And that's my month!

What have you all been up to? Staying sane I hope? We are a bit isolated out here and I forget that Covid is still happening. Especially when we don't turn on the TV at all.

My cousin found this little gem of a song for me, "Things a Man Oughta Know" and it's my favourite at the moment.
I'm about to start reading "the body keeps the score" and apart from that I've started taking "juice plus", which if you gauge it by the price of them, should make me bounce straight out of my skin! So we shall wait and see.
Love to hear from you all.
Be kind everyone x
