Looking for a new beginning

I haven't actually posted about it yet, but most of my friends and family are aware that we have sold our property. There were a lot of reason that we made this decision, but at the end of the day we decided that it was going to be the best move for our family. It's hard to explain the anguish of selling your family home, this is where I was raised and where I had hoped to be able to raise my children. But it's time to move forward to new and exciting things.

This means that now we are doing a lot of travelling around the country side looking at various properties that are for sale.

We've just not long got home from a trip to Einasleigh to look at a place up there, which gave us the opportunity to visit Justin's sister. Not to mention leave our kids there to be babysat while we made the long drive onward from Collinsville to Einasleigh.

We woke at 3:30am to travel from Charters Towers to Einasleigh and then had our property tour and by the time we returned to Charters Towers, it was 10:10pm. So that was a big day!
The following morning (after getting new tyres, as we had a piece of rio bar about a foot long into our tyre on the drive home); we left for Collinsville to stay a couple of nights, before coming home again.

These are salt water crocs in the Bowen River, just near Strathmuir. This is fresh water!!! The fella sitting in the water was a monster!!

Uncle Christian is a helicopter pilot and on his way home from a job he stopped by us for a visit.

Master G even got a ride home.

I think dad was getting a few instructions about "don't let me go dad"

Aunty Melissa, trying to catch us a little sooty.

Was great for the cousins to actually be able to see each other, as we don't get to catch up anywhere near enough!

Melissa was checking out a few photo locations for her shoot the following day, so I took the opportunity to take a few too! I think I stole her model.

Cuties

Jessica and Mia

We had a little bit of fun with my lens ball

Was really funny.

So nice to see it green, as the last time that I was here 1 year ago, it was very dry!

I love this one!

FROM MY PHONE:

Sadly, Dick and Heather dad to return home after their extended Covid lock down stay.

Was so lovely having them here and I think the kids really miss having them about.

These are some of our joiner heifers. I'm so pleased with them.

Making butterflies with G-ma

Town day with the kids.

I told one of my girlfriends that I needed some extra cash and so I was going to  plant some pot. I think she got a little excited until I asked her how long till harvest and sent a photo.

Being unable to do more normal work with my busted knee, means that I've been doing a little bit more cooking...... which is not good for my waist line!!!!! OMG tight jeans *insert sad face here*. Cheesecake and mud cake muffins are a bit hard to go past though!

In my last post, I had some photos that I took of Nat and her family, which I had been asked to do for her by by a mutual friend of ours, anyhow, this was my gift for taking them. I absolutely love it and had been wanting a lazy susan for ages.

We caught up with some friends and their kids at the beach and my mum brought my niece and nephew along as well. I thought the difference between the girls playing together and the boys playing apart was a bit funny.

Cousins Mia and Kaka

G man with the helmet uncle Stew had gifted him! He absolutely loves it.

Kaka got to milk a cow for the first time which was a bit cute!

Bowen River at Glen Bowen Station.

Helping dad build a new float cover.

Rightio trend setters, I'm off to bed. We are heading to St George tomorrow to have a look at another place, so fingers crossed. I guess the more that we look at, the closer we become to finding the right one.

Hope you are all well and healthy and not living in Victoria.
