Husbands, Lovers and Friends

What a wonderful Xmas we have all had, with loads of good food, great friends and a few presents (ok, who am I kidding, when it came to the two kids, there were loads of presents!).

After boxing day, we ended up with a full house, with Greer, Mango and their son Thomas coming from Springsure, my mum and step dad from Rocky and my cousin Jess and her other half Nashy from Brisbane. It was so wonderful to be able to catch up with everyone and we are very lucky here to have our own personal fishing hole at our front door to provide some daily entertainment for the boys.

I had the privilege of doing some maternity photos for both Mango and Jess, who are only 9 days apart in their pregnancies. Last time it was Mango and I that were pregnant together only 5 days apart, but this time we were 20 weeks apart and so we missed having most of our pregnancy together.

Thomas was such a little star and made our photography session pretty quick and easy. The sun wasn't really playing the game for us, but still managed to get a few nice shots in there. These are my favourites from our session.

Photogenic family!

Love this one!

It was a fun little outing, and nice for me to be able to get out of the house and take a few photos.

I felt pretty special being about to photograph my cousin Jess, especially when she was so reluctant and "awkward" as she put it. It made me think of the following video from youtube, if only we could see ourselves through the eyes of our husbands, lovers and friends, perhaps we would have greater self appreciation.

If it wasn't already obvious, having named my daughter after her, I think Jess is a stunner inside and out, naturally beautiful! See for yourself!

We even managed to rope DNash away from his fishing for a couple of photos! These pair are so darn cute.

Love this one!

So as you can see I had fun, and it was a bit hard to pick my favourites!

Photos from my phone:

I don't even know what we were giggling at, but we are always laughing!

I'm so excited!!! Just over 2 mths to go!!

As I said before, we are spoilt in having our own personal fishing hole and we did very well over the couple of days!

Perhaps the pros were having a break over xmas too and that's why we managed to pick up these little babies! DELICIOUS!!

Gma and Jess

We visited cousins for xmas day and G-man had fun playing with their toys.

Love these pair of cool dudes!

A few days before xmas we went into town to do some shopping, for groceries and a few last minute things. I unknowingly dropped Jess's "pony" in the carpark. When I finally realised, I tried to put my already overloaded brain into rewind, to remember where it could have possibly been. Luckily, a phone call to the lost and found at the shopping centre and someone had handed it in! What an angel, I could have kissed them! Good to know that there are still some beautiful people in this world.

How was your xmas and new year? Our troops departed a day before new years eve and so with hubby and I both feeling a bit fluy, our new years celebrations consisted of a couple of episodes of game of thrones and some plumb puddin' with brandy sauce (you know to finish it off before the diet starts lol)!

Hope 2018 brings everyone everything they hope for. As for me, I'll probably just be the same ol' loveable, sarcastic SOB that I am every year 🙉 🙈 ðŸ™Š
