Cuppa by the Campfire

After realising that I had not been out a great deal with my camera this past month, I decided to go forth and set a scene that I had, had in my mind for a little while. I was actually really happy with how it turned out and even more happy that we didn't burn the paddock down. You would not believe how much Garrett's horse moves. To get some of these images, it requires the horses to sit still for a number of seconds. This one was only 2 seconds, but just trying to get that horse to sit still for that long was a battle, I took some 150 photos, just to get these few and even then I had to swap out some of the horses.

This was just a bit of fun that I was having, working with negatives. I always like to turn night time images into negatives.

We have a category for long exposures this year with my photo club, so perhaps this will suffice.

Jupiter was also very obliging and in just the perfect spot for us.

Mel had not been to see our swamp yet, so I thought it was time that we went for a little drive. I think she was sold and will be back camping at some point. We might go this weekend, as I'm going to put our cattle in there and I daresay they will destroy all the lillys.

And that's a wrap from my SLR, as I said I'm been rather remiss. Perhaps a camping trip this weekend will make for some more photos.

From my phone:

G man advised me that he had to make a chicken cage for his technology.... which, to be honest, I'm not so sure that we did need to, but we did non the less.

In some fairly sad news this month, my beautiful little creamy mare, lost her foal. I'm pretty bummed about it. I was really looking forward to it. I have already spoken to my friend about whether I can take her back down to the stallion this season, so watch this space.

There was a call within our ICPA newsletter, to submit a recipe. This has to be my favourite. I always make it for myself for my birthday.

G man has been working with Cruise this past few weeks. He's going really well and I'm grateful that he's very quiet.

He's a bit of a dude really.

I'm sure Max is grateful for the attention.

We also had our Term 2 mini school and the kids got to have an excursion to the Heritage village for the day. This guy was the principal of the school there and I think the kids were a bit concerned.

Garrett had to go up in front of the class and get the cuts. His teacher told me that he was shitting bricks, so she had to tell him that it was just pretend. I told her the he may have had some personal experience in the matter. LOL

I made the list of things that Evie loves!!!! HOW AWESOME!!!

G man got to have a sleep over with Ben and because they got to go to timezone, miss and I went for a Boost and have our nails done.

They dressed up for their excursion. G man was hilarious... he stayed in character the whole time and it was well tolerated because he kept calling me "young love"'.

The strife horses get themselves into. Luckily Justin was home to witness and fix the issue.

While Justin has been away, I decided to try out the new welder. Thank goodness for a grinder and some paint that's all I can say. Still, it won't fall down anytime soon.

When we were in Maroochydore for that conference last month, we were partnered up to take some photos and these are the ones that my buddy "Sue" took.

And that's a wrap. I have gradually been trying to finish all the series I have started. I finished Yellowstone finally and now I'm trying to catch up on Outlander. At least I'm down to the first part of the final season.

I'm also reading or rather listening to, the Handmaiden's Tale. However, I can't say that I'm loving it, only that it was recommended that I'm persisting. I will update you if it improves.

Grandma is coming to visit us this weekend which will be wonderful, I love having her here for a whole week and I already have a list of jobs that I can get done while she is here.

Keep Warm
With Love x
