Living on Summertime

Wow, when you are busy but you don't think you've been doing much and then you go over your phone photos and realise you actually have been doing a lot! Soooo here we are.

Miss Bromley, our newest member of the family, got her first ride. Garrett is still not too sure about it all, but he will get the hang soon enough.

I just love this mob!!

Someone had to learn how to take a bottle, because mum had to have a CT scan and the dye goes through the milk.

Town trip to see friends.

Someone is learning to roll.
We branded some of our calves. They are a bit overdue, but with the rain and the heat we had been putting it off until it couldn't be put off any longer. As it was the afternoon before we got 2 inches. Not complaining, the place is looking lovely at the moment!

Made it a bit sloppy in the back yards.

We are fortunate to be able to swap work with our neighbour to get our calves branded.

I quite like early mornings.... not the getting out of bed part... but once I'm out of bed I like it! It was sooo bloody muggy on this day and I tried to take a photo of the steam coming of Justin's back, but it didn't turn out.

We also had a couple of really big tides, which is a bit of a bugger when they are this big because it covers some of our country and in places it gets land locked and then kills the grass. you can see the foamy water from the tides in these couple of photos.

Also a fair bit of water laying around from the bit of rain we have had. I'm sorry but I can't even tell you how much we've had all up now. A few storms that built up which has been so wonderful.

I called dibs on not having to get the gate!

 GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!! I bought..........

I don't think my husband is terribly impressed, especially when he's just built me a house yard fence to keep the dogs out. But I'm sure he will grow to love him. I think I'm gonna cal him Ralph... but the jury is still out on that one.

Can't get enough of these pair

It seems that I have been doing some baking, I didn't realise how much until I went back through my photos.

Scolloped potato roll..... wasn't bad but I don't think it worth the effort. I might make it again one day and change a few things.

I have the best brownie recipe.

Apple dutch cake... the bomb!!

My first mother/ daughter purchase.

Big eyes on this kid!

Wish I had this one on my good camera, cause it would have been a framer!

CMC Rocks 2018!!!!!! We leave tomorrow!!! I can't wait!!!!!

Car packed up!

Milk supply.

Our setup.

Soooo there is also some other news coming to you real soon that I am soooo super excited about, but I'm not allowed to say just yet. Will have to wait for next time.
Stay tuned for all the CMC photos next time and I'll leave you with this song from Gord Bamford

This one's for you.

As I said last post, there was a charity rodeo on in Springsure and over 6000 people made the effort to attend and it was such a credit to the organisers, volunteers and everyone involved. I think they made over $125,000 but I'm not 100% sure on that figure, as I thought it was more than that. It was all done in the name of suicide awareness for our youth and if it saves just one person from taking their own life, then it was worth it!

These photos were of Cobi, having a crack at the steer ride.

Love this one with brother Zac looking on from the top rail on the fence.

Love this one too!

Sheree, Me and Mel
Everyone wore blue or purple and despite the heat, it was a lovely day out. Justin couldn't make it because we were having ongoing water dilemmas, so Grandma was left with Garrett, because I didn't want the two kids in such a big crowd..... especially with master G being very adventurous now.

Uncle Arron with baby Jess, she was far more content with him than I so that's where she stayed most of the evening.

Still with uncle Aaron despite the fact it was way past bed time.
An amazing effort to put on such a massive event in such little time and for a really worthy cause. I'm not sure how we teach our babies to value their lives and be resilient of outside influences, this sort of thing scares me to death and I'm not sure how these families deal with such heart break, my heart bleeds for them.

On a more upbeat note, Valentines day this year I was very spoilt with a bucket full of crab!!! OMG, that husband of mine is a keeper I tell ya!

More preparations for CMC!! Mum and I got some pannikins! And I got a supply of grog to last us for the weekend! Now just got to find a place to hide it.

Cuddles with my girl, she's getting big!

Love these pair!!

So I have another song for you This one's for you. There aren't many of luke combs that I don't like, he's pretty darn good! 3 weeks to go!!! So excited!

Have you had any rain? We've had a bit here and there, I'm not sure how much all up, but the grass is green again and my lawn is not dead anymore which is a saving grace because with all our water dramas, I had nothing to water the lawn with for a while.
